One of the benefits of Horizons was that I didn't have a break from school. It kept me on my toes. When I came back to school (in the fall), I hit the ground running and was more prepared to take on the next grade level because of the skills I learned that summer or by not forgetting what I learned.
Nehemias Luna joined Horizons at Colorado Academy as a kindergartner and returned every year through high school. In 2014, Nehemias received his degree from Santa Clara University, becoming the first person in his family to graduate from college. He is currently working at Texas Instruments and serves on the Board of Directors for Horizons at San Francisco Friends School.
